Engaged Sweeper
Hi All

I'm sure many faced my issue, but I went through the forum and couldn't find 1 simple answer.

A lot of my computers are failiing in Lansweeper with RPC Unavailable or WMI Access denied error.

I went through the regular troubleshooting with no luck. Also tried the tester and check Group policy but that didn't help.

Is there any best practice for all the gpo settings I need to perform. Something like a full admin guide of sort?

Thanks

Omer

You need to ensure that:
- ALL WMI traffic is allowed through your firewalls: http://www.lansweeper.com/kb/6/firewall.html
- The scanning credentials submitted in the Lansweeper web console under Configuration/Scanning Setup/Scanning Credentials have administrative privileges on the client machines you wish to scan.

If you continue to have problems, contact support@lansweeper.com and provide us with:
• Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Service\Errorlog.txt, as present on your Lansweeper server.
• Screenshots of one problem machine’s Lansweeper webpage, if a page was generated. Show us the following tabs: Summary, Scan Time, Errors (if it exists).
• Screenshot of a connection test performed to the client machine using TestConnection.exe: http://download.lansweeper.com/tools50/TestConnection.exe
Perform the test on your Lansweeper server, check “alternate credentials”, submit the same credential used by Lansweeper to scan the machine and show us the entire test window.
