Hi,
I configured Lansweeper ( premium Version ) through login script and clients are detecting . But in all the client system, a profile ( user profile ) is getting generated for the id which is configured in the server for client scanning . Is it possible to avoid this ?
Thanks
Pras

I'm with Pras on this one. LanSweeper is great, but getting through to ALL the pc's is frustrating. A PC won't scan and yet when I run the WMI test it says its fine.
very aggravating trying to get that last 15% scanned.

Since WMI is using random ports it's not very firewall friendly.
The microsoft links show how to use a static port.
To configure your firewall for random WMI ports you will need to look for a specific firewall rule/specialist.

could you please more precise. The liks gives only a vague picture
I face problem with the systems whcih are behind network firewall only and the same system will work if i take this out of firewall. System is reporting to teh server and only one error which makes all these issue is "RPC Server unavailable " .Due to this me not getting " Wmierror The RPC server is unavailable 0x800706BA "
I have enabled port 135/TCP , 9524/TCP and 1097/TCP in between client and teh server . My client firewall is off only . Dcom enabled and all other seetinsg which already mentioned are done . I feel li0ke some more port should be opened in the firewall , please suggest

Thansk for the reply
I have enabled port 135,9524, 1097 in the firewall for the lansweeper server bidrectionally. Clients are installed but not getting any information of the clients in the server . When i did connection test from server to client , stil getting \root\cimv2 Remote WMI access test FAILED
The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)
error. I do not have any issue in the systems which sre not behind firewall. DCOM enabled in the client system.
which are the ports needed to open to get the information as Random ports (WMI Data) ?

Indeed
This is the list of ports needed:
Clients to Service (if lsclient or lstrigger is used)
Port: 9524/TCP (this port must be open on the firewall of the lansweeper scanning server)
Service to clients
1) Port: 135/TCP (DCOM to Establish initial session for WMI)
2) Random ports (WMI Data)

This is automatically created by wmi if the registry is scanned.
