We are for the most part using LsAgent and other scans to bring in assets into our Lansweeper environment.

However, we have a LOT of Network Devices (Routers, Switches) that we want to add, but doing this via NetScan is just not possible because of various reasons.

We do have a Network Monitoring service where I can pull down all the necessary information about a network device, but I am having trouble figuring out how to get it into Lansweeper via script.

From what I can tell, this is not an option via any API so I am just trying to do direct SQL additions to the tblAssets table.

What I did first was manually add an asset via the LS UI. I then queried that asset to see all what values are getting set. I then constructed a SQL query to add a similar asset to the Table (except with different name, IP, etc.)

What is really strange is that after adding the Asset this way, it will pop up in the auto-complete when I go to search for the asset. However, when I click to follow that asset to the details page Lansweeper tells me the asset doesn't exist / was deleted.

Do I need to make a different SQL call for Lansweeper to be aware of the new asset? Kind of tearing my hair out here.

Manually adding the assets via CSV import is not an option as we don't want to babysit this. Unless there is a way to drop a CSV in a share and schedule Lansweeper to pull it in?

Appreciate any help in advance!

Hey D-  I'm not official support (just an employee) -   quick question - your network monitoring service - do they use an on-prem monitoring server?  The first thing I try to do in situations where I can't just go scanning everything, is piggy-back off of the primary monitoring server by putting the scan service on it and scanning from the already approved source

Here is a screenshot of what happens after we add the asset to tblAssets in SQL. As you can see, Lansweeper recognizes the asset enough to make it appear in auto-complete, but clicking on the asset from there just brings you to an error page.
