I am wondering if there are any options for the lsremote command. When we run remote control it connects as it should, however there is some concern on the part of management of being able to view someones computer without their knowing, the concern is increased because the user does not have to have vnc installed for this to work.

I know that we can simple remote this feature from the Lansweeper toolset, however I am hoping there is a better way to use this but enforce the 'ask permission option'. Currently even though that option is checked the user does not see any indication that his screen is being viewed (Windows 7 desktop).

Thanks

Is there a way to lock down this option so users can not change?
For the most part, I need to be able to always ask the user

This is currently not possible.

Yes, I am running the newest version of Lsremote. for the time being we removed this action from the action list.

With that flag on, we can still use 'remote control' and connect to the users desktop without the user ever getting prompted.

Do you have the latest version of lsremote?

There is an /AP switch to ask permission before connecting.
