I recently upgraded Lansweeper to the latest version 7.x One of the devices the website claims to detect is Sonos. We have 120+ Sonos devices (Play 5, Boost, Connect, Connect AMP) on our network and I was excited to have Lansweeper detect them since Sonos does not have an enterprise management tool. Subnet only.
They are scanned, but the Sonos devices are not being detected by anything other than "Network Device"
This is the Lansweeper Link for Scanned Music Systems: https://www.lansweeper.com/asset/music-systems/
Sonos is listed and Lansweeper claims to provide:
-Description
-Manufacturer
-Model
-Serial number
-IP Location
I get the IP address but the device type is "Network Device" with no useful info.
Anyone else able to get Lansweeper to detect Sonos? Lansweeper, have you been able to detect Sonos?
Thanks Everyone!
Vic

Unfortunately not.
It might be that the newer Sonos does not have the information in the same way which is why parsing is failing. With UPNP support coming in 7.1, this should be resolved.

We have a couple of Sonos devices in our office. If I'm not mistaken the data is retrieved with http parsing in the current stable release and older releases.
However, in the upcoming release (which is currently in beta) UPNP scanning is added which should also scan Sonos devices and retrieve more data like firmware version.

Yeah, when I rescan the devices, I get nothing.
When I use the HTTP parsing via a web browser.
Example: http://192.168.xx.xx:1400/support/review) I can browse all the Sonos device. *sanitized a bit*
Sonos5 (RINCON_94XXXXXXXXXXX01400)
Zone Player Info
Ethernet Ports
/VERSION
/proc/ath_rincon/status
/sbin/ifconfig
/usr/sbin/brctl showstp br0
Lansweeper is not reading the data. We have Play 1,3,5,Boot, Amp, Connect Amp's
Is there any special configuration I need to do to read Sonos devices?
Thanks!
