Hi Everyone,

We've migrated our database from LocalDB to the Microsoft SQL Server a few months ago. Does anyone know if it is safe to stop this service running in the background?

Service : SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS)

Thanks in advance

Hello there!

The SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS) service will be your database engine, so we would not recommend switching this off. But if you have, here are instructions on how to start it back up again: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/start-stop-pause-resume-rest...

Hello,

I also recently switched to an external SQL server and the service no longer even exists for me. And if you use a local SQL, then there should also be a SQL service, without Express.
But you can simply switch off the service and if something doesn't work, activate it again.

Greetings, Sasha
