I have seen previous forum posts about this topic but they were dated a while back. Is there a way or will there be one in the pipeline to edit or configure Lansweeper for those ones that we know but it did not pick up?

Manually updating the names of software publishers is not currently supported on the web console. You could do it with database scripts, but it won't prevent Lansweeper overwriting the data on following scans of your computers.
Our next major release will allow you to manually add software names under the license compliance module, so you can track licenses for software which hasn't been scanned in your network.
