Userpictures

Hi there,

I moved our Lansweeper successfully to a new server (as described in http://www.lansweeper.com/kb/17/move-lansweeper-to-different-server.html)

Everything works fine, except for the userpictures. They are not shown!

The jpg`s are named after the usernames (active directory) and are stored in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Website\userpictures"


What is wrong?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Website\userpictures\domainname - that was new to me.

Everything is working now after a web server restart.

We're assuming the the userpictures folder has been copied completely and users are saved as "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Website\userpictures\domainname\Adam.jpg".

Then it depends on when and how they were copied to the new install.
If the folder got copied while the web server was running then the pictures will probably only show up after a web server restart.
It might be that pictures won't show up even after a web server restart, in which case a web browser restart will be required as well.
If you adjust the picture on the website, then it should display immediately.

This is due to 2 types op caching:
- The web server caches all pictures and when a picture is changed on the website it updates the cache.
- The web browser caches pictures and will refresh cache after a day or after a restart (in some cases, mostly Google Chrome, after clearing browser cache).
