Hi,

In lansweeper you have the option to show the user picture.
Now you have to store it in the folder userpictures.
It's a nice feature.

The ability to read it (or extract it) from the active directory would be even better.

In our organisation we store the picture in the AD attribute "thumbnailPhoto".

We've build web-based intranet phonebook witch also reads this attribute.
More importantly Outlook 2010 will also have the ability to read this.

So this feature would really be nice in an upcomming version of lansweeper.

Regards,

Lvv

Is this feature still being worked on ?
Userpicture is a nice feature, but keeping 2 pictures databases (AD + Lansweeper) up to date is a waste of time.

Any information would be appreciated 🙂

Should this be in the Beta that is currently being tested?

Is this feature being looked at? This would definitely help the value of the software to our organization.

We have an employee directory that basically does the same thing as this does (stores pictures in a folder) but since Outlook 2010 started pulling from AD we are starting to do the same thing in the directory application.

Would be nice to only have pictures in one area.

Thanks,

Yes, it's on the (long) list for version 5.0

We use the same AD attribute for photos. I hope this makes it into the next update.
