In the latest beta I see "- Devices without an IP address can now be added.", this means now devices with DHCP can now be added too and they will keep the original data if IP changes? If so, what is the unique identifier?

Euh, no (still working on this, will most likely be the mac address for devices)
In the current version you need to enter an IP address if you manually want to create a new device.
Now this is not necessary any more (can be used for non-IP devices like beamers, ...)
