Are there any plans to add localization for multi-national companies now that the Ultimate tier specifically has "multiple companies/countries" listed as a feature? I'd like to recommend Lansweeper to a company that is headquartered in Germany with several subsidiaries around the globe but the IT people at each location would need their web console to display in their language.

Also, any advice on a multi-location installation like this would be appreciated. The HQ would like to have visibility over everything and each of the major subsidiaries would like information for just their location without the clutter of all the other subsidiaries.

Just an FYI for everyone: the Lansweeper 6.0 help desk beta has been out for a few weeks now. We're not sharing the beta publicly yet, but you can contact support@lansweeper.com to be added to our list of beta testers and receive information on the beta.

For the initial help desk beta, we had planned to make it possible for customers to add their own help desk translations to Lansweeper. Unfortunately, development did not have enough time to get this feature ready. You'll notice language options for certain help desk settings, e.g. for the ticket types you configure under Configuration\Ticket Content. These should allow you to translate the help desk for your users, but the underlying code of these buttons hasn't been implemented yet. We're not sure at this point when we'll be able to get this feature fully implemented.

The Lansweeper 6.0 help desk beta will be out soon, though we cannot give a release date. You'll be able to submit translations for parts of the help desk, but the rest of the software will still exclusively be in English. Translating the entire software, including all of the database fields, will be a massive undertaking. There's no word on when general translations might become available.

The website access changes are still being worked on, but have been pushed back till after the 6.0 release.

Translations are planned for a future Lansweeper version, but no release date yet unfortunately. The help desk (currently in development) will include translations, but the main Lansweeper software will still exclusively be in English for now.

A feature like this is planned for the first quarter of 2015. At the moment, users within the same Lansweeper installation can either see all assets or no assets. The only workaround for now is to create separate installations for each subsidiary (that only scan local data) and a separate HQ installation.
