Hello, Lansweeper Community!

We're thrilled to share a sneak peek at the exciting work-in-progress updates we've been working on for the new Lansweeper Site UI. Our goal has always been to provide a tool that not only meets your IT asset management needs but does so in a way that is intuitive, accessible, and easy to use.

~ What you see here is a work in progress ~

What are we working on?

  • Design system: We’ve implemented a new design system that lays the foundation for a more cohesive and consistent user experience. This new system emphasizes ease of use, ensures accessibility compliance, and maintains industry-standard quality in design and front-end code.
  • Information architecture: We're updating the information architecture, layouts, and element positioning to adhere to accessibility and human-computer interaction principles, making sure that every user can navigate and use our platform with ease.
  • Accessibility compliance: The new UI is designed and developed with accessibility standard AA requirements in mind, ensuring the right level of contrast, visibility, support for keyboard navigation and screen readers.
  • Light/Dark themes: One of your top-requests, we are excited to introduce a dark theme option! You can switch between light and dark modes or synchronize it to your operating system preference.

We need your input! Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we want you to be a part of this evolution. We're looking for users to join our upcoming usability sessions, where you can share your thoughts on the new designs and features. It’s a great opportunity to directly influence the development of the UI and ensure it works just the way you need it to.

If you're interested in participating, please click here to give your availability.

Do you have specific use cases or features you'd love to see? Let us know in the comments below or during the usability sessions. Your input helps us make Lansweeper the best it can be!

Thank you for being an integral part of our community. We look forward to making Lansweeper even better!

If there is no dark mode in the works for on-premise, then we will pass this update. This is a waste of time since we are not using and ever will the cloud platform. It is lacking some of great abilities of on-premise. Dark mode won't attract us to the cloud platform either.  Still waiting for deplyment abilities lite InTune on lansweeper cloud. Until then, cheerios cloud mateys... 😄

Hi, thank you for your feedback. The dark theme is just one of the many features that LS Site is receiving between this launch in November and the next one next year. It would be great to discuss with you what features you need, and catch up on the upcoming functionality for LS Site. If you want, please join our UX research sessions from this survey: https://az5krgaymnz.typeform.com/to/Rqq4ziSQ thank you!

Is there a chance that the on premise version will receive UI updates? As the others we don't want our data in the cloud. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. I'll pass your request to the team, at the moment our teams are working on the cloud version, LS Site, not only for the dark theme but for several new features that will transform it in terms of functionality and usability.

Agree with above - if you're doing it for one, make it for all - ie:  On-Prem, as we will never be putting our network info up there.
It appears that you are using quite a bit of spacing on some items - wasted real estate that could be used for either more detail, or better readability.  This of a 'tight' format as well, as the fewer screen we admins have to scroll about to get the information - the better.  The ability to also add/move/hide detail lines would be nice as some information isn't always needed.

Also, along those lines - NOC view?  🙂

Have fun.

This looks so amazing! I wish it was for the on-premise version as well!
As a side question has there been any movement on deploying LS to an American cloud?

I agree. We would prefer that all the functionality of the cloud version be included in the on-premises application, including the network diagram, etc. We would not use the cloud version at all if all functions were available.
