Not sure if it has been asked but could the option "rescan assets" present in most reporting pages please have an additional check put in place to warn (via a second "are you sure" prompt) the user that the action will queue up X amount of assets for scanning. The threshold value for warning could be configurable or static. I'd recommend 500 as the default threshold.
The suggested change would only occur via clicking the "rescan assets" action on the reporting page. If the rescan URL is accessed directly then I would not recommend the prompt appear (just like the standard "are you sure?" prompt doesn't appear now).
The above is to limit large rescans done in error - without having to use the "rescan" role to remove that capability from users of the lansweeper system entirely.
