The 'changes made to Lansweeper Configuration' report is better than nothing.

What I really want is a full detailed change history for each asset.  Something like what the helpdesk has for a ticket but I would prefer even more detail.  A complete list of every asset field that was changed, the old value, new value, user name or system process that made the change, date and time.

We have used Lansweeper for many years and heavily rely on it for our asset inventory.  There have been a few instances over that time when Lansweeper has made a mass change to assets (usually the result of a version upgrade) and it is time consuming and sometimes impossible to figure out exactly what happened and fix all the assets.  A detailed log of what changes were made would be of immense help.

Dear Syed,
As mentioned in the case you logged, we hope the replies below helped you:

There are two built-in reports where user login and configuration changes made by users can be found: "Users: Changes made to Lansweeper configuration" and "Users: Logins into the Lansweeper web console"

Image_2024-09-27_10-15-38.png

The Changes report includes configuration changes, asset deletion, user configuration, etc. The Logins report includes successful and unsuccessful logins.Additional information can be found in the web server errorlog file (\Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Website\App_Data\web_errorlog.txt)

Session timeout in IIS Express can't be configured, the default session timeout is 60 minutes. It can be configured on IIS via IIS Manager.

Users can be configured under Configuration > User access and Roles in the web console. More information can be found here: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/customizing-the-web-console/web-console-user-roles-and-permissio...
