serial/com port

Hello- I have been asked if Lansweeper can provide a report for systems that have a little receipt printer attached to their serial port; in my case com1. This may be a topic for the report forums but I am curious- I do not believe LS has this capability based on the way serial works-

Can lansweeper detect a device that is simply plugged into a serial port/com port?

This information is not currently scanned or stored in the database. The ports themselves should be scanned and stored in the tblSerialPort database table, but we don't currently report on what's attached to the ports. I'll add this to the wish list.
