Hi Wishlist,

The table that currently hosts the VM Guest details (tblVmwareGuest) loses its "link" to the asset details when the VM guest is renamed in the VMware inventory.

To expose the asset details of each VM guest, it would be better to extract guest details directly from the vCenter service or ESXi host. A simple powercli script can achieve this: Vmware forum

The above method also works around the issue where VM guests are turned off or are non-windows/VMI capable, allowing for much more information to be gathered about the guest.

Not sure under which exact circumstances your guest/host links are being lost. We can't reproduce this behavior. Other feature requests added to the wish list.
