VNC Alternative

Would be nice to see something other than VNC for a remote control agent. VNC suffers from lag. Could you add support for something else even if it costs money?

Or can you run something else already for a remote control agent?

We use tight VNC (Freeware) with no lag issues at all. I'd recommend you deploy it with the DemoForge Mirage Driver for TightVNC. Then in LS setup a custom action:

we use Dameware in "Advanced Actions" for remote control.
We have no problems with that tool.

There are no immediate plans to add additional remote control tools. You could implement your own tool as a custom action under Configuration\Website Management\Asset Pages, though this is not something we provide support for.

You could try tweaking the Remote Control settings as well, to improve performance. If you need assistance with this, contact support@lansweeper.com
