Hi

I was just curious if lansweeper has the ability to scan computers to see if they have all the necessary windows/office updates for that computer. The show what updates need to still be done...

This might help

We are looking for an alternative to the WSUS reporting as well. MS publishes the schema and the cab file with current updates available.

Is it possible to look into adding a feature to lansweeper that can compare the updates that are installed against a file of the available updates...either the cab file from microsofts offline scan or a txt document that the administrator builds themselves...

I would think it would be similar to the approved software report except instead of telling us what already is installed it would be telling us what needs to be installed?

Installed system updates can be found in tblQuickFixEngineering within the Lansweeper report builder. Lansweeper does not currently provide info on the nature of the update though (optional, critical etc.)
