Hi I was wondering if anyone had the sql query designed to report back on server os installed

eg

windows server 2003
windows server 2003 standard / enterprise / data centre / web
windows server 2008 standard / enterprise / data centre / web server / hpc server /

windows xp - all
windows vista
windows 7

also is there a way to differentiate between versions of office installed?

many thanks

Jonny

Basic OS overview for server-type machines:

Select Top 1000000 tblComputers.Computername, tblComputers.ComputerUnique,
tblComputers.Domain, Web40OSName.OSname, tblComputersystem.Lastchanged,
Web40OSName.Compimage As icon
From tblComputers Inner Join
tblComputersystem On tblComputers.Computername =
tblComputersystem.Computername Inner Join
web40ActiveComputers On tblComputers.Computername =
web40ActiveComputers.Computername Inner Join
Web40OSName On Web40OSName.Computername = tblComputers.Computername
Where tblComputersystem.Domainrole > 1
Order By dbo.tblComputers.Computer

Office versions can be filtered in a number of ways, the most common being by name. Example report to show all computers that have Microsoft Office 2003 installed:

Select tblComputers.Computername, tblComputers.ComputerUnique,
tblComputers.Domain, tblSoftware.softwareName, tblSoftware.softwareVersion
From tblComputers Inner Join
tblSoftware On tblComputers.Computername = tblSoftware.ComputerName
Where tblSoftware.softwareName Like 'Microsoft Office 2003%'
Order By tblComputers.Computer
