Active Scan Frequency

I like the idea of using the Active Scan feature of premium. But how often does it scan AD? I am concerned that if I eliminate the lsclient from running on login, that a machne will not be up to date in the
console. What frequency can be expected for scanning my AD which is very small in size < 100 machines?
