I upgraded to the beta b/c the regular 3.5 was not performing active scan. I believe I have everything set properly, could you please review? I'll attach screen shots.

Yes, I used the syntax from that tool. i have restarted the service, still nothing.

Did you check the syntax with the ADexplorer tool?
I suggest restarting the service to get faster results (if the syntax is correct)

I adjusted the OU filtering as indicated. It is now
CN=Computers,DC=tech,DC=com

I have a few computers in that OU, but I'm still not picking up any computers with Lansweeper.

There must be an error in your OU filtering.

If the first one (the computers) is the build in container that came after you installed active directory the path should be:
CN=computers (instead of "OU")

Please download this tool : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963907.aspx

To browse your AD for the exact name.

Yes, I have attached a screen shot. I am filtering two standard OU's (servers & computers).

Did you fill in anything on the OU filtering tab?

The error log is emtpy except for the times I stopped the service and when it started succesfully.

Even though 'active scanning' is checked, and I have entered my domain name and credentials there are not any machines populating the database. Clicking on 'computers' does not show any machines except for the one that is running the software. The machine I am on has network connectivity and can show domain members in the 'network neighborhood' lookup. It also has A/D tools installed and I can read information from the domain members, but they are not added to the software

This looks all ok.

What is the exact problem that you have?
Could you post any errors you find in the errorlog.txt please.
