Hello
I have enabled active scanning and set up the software to scan only certain OU's , some of these OU's have spaces so I have enclosed the string in quotations ( as you would for dsquery) I am getting nothing , I have rebooted the machine that hosts lansweeper, where is the scan file located and which version does it use , there seems to be some conflict on the forums as to what client is required
Thanks

Please contact lansweeper@hemoco.com for a remote control session.
Something else must be wrong.
Some workstations contact the dc's every 15 minutes.
The longest time is mostly for servers and dc's.

to answer this:
Active scanning queries the domaincontrollers for computer logons and immediately adds them to the queue when a new logon is found. (this lookup process runs every 10 minutes)
A computer is only scanned once (at maximum) every 8 hours (unless triggered by lsclient or lstrigger)
If you start the service with active scanning enabled, the first scan will look for computers logged on in the last hour.
If none of the computers in the OU contacted the domaincontroller today you won't see any results in the next 15 minutes.
The results of the new scan should appear in 15 minutes ??

Thank you , I have removed the quotations from the OU filtering. I have added the domain as NETBIOS and not FQDN. You have answered the question as to which file if the service is scanning. The results of the new scan should appear in 15 minutes ??

I have enclosed the string in quotations ( as you would for dsquery)
This is not needed, please try to remove them
Make sure the domain that you want scanned is also listed in the domains list.
where is the scan file located and which version does it use , there seems to be some conflict on the forums as to what client is required
Could you please rephrase the question, I don't understand.
All scanning is done by the lansweeper service.
