Hello,

I´d like to exclude Printer and Webserver devices from scanning, is it possible? How?

Regards,
Marcos.

I am also VERY interested in this feature...
I will go a bit further and ask for the ability to choose not to add certain assets (not just monitors). I only want to see my workstations and servers. With one IP address, you can have a workstation, printer, monitor, webserver, and you end up with a huge mess of things we don't need or want to see. If I block that IP address, then I lose the workstation from the list as well. Why would anyone want that? I understand a lot of people use this to scan everything under the sun. I would like to option to scan everything, but only ADD the asset types I choose to add.
Thanks... LOVE Lansweeper... this feature would make it absolutely FLAWLESS for us. 🙂

In the current version (5.1.0.49) it is not possible to remove the monitors permanently. We are evaluating to add an option to add/not add them as separate assets.

Thanks for the response, I hope it is added at some point. Otherwise, very satisfied with the product. Thanks again

I have no desire to track any of the monitors, plain and simple. I want to be confident that in all my asset lists I am only seeing servers, workstations, etc.... When I look through manufacturer lists for example, I don't want to see a million 1-off companies listed just due to some old monitors.

I would also like to remove monitors, if possible. I find them to be an annoyance when searching through my assets. Not possible?

Is there anyway in the latest version to disable scanning for monitors altogether? Each night I receive a report that documents new devices found in the past 24 hours and seeing how I always delete monitors from the database, it continues to detect them as 'new' during each scan.

Why do you want to delete the monitors?
They don't count for your licensed asset limit.

I would also like for the possibility of being able to exclude monitors from asset scanning. As a holder of a 250 asset license, multiple monitor desktops eat up quite a chunk 🙂
