How can I stop Lansweeper from scanning/adding Monitors, Switches, or "Webservers", etc... I only want it to scan Computers and Printers.

FYI for everyone: asset type exclusions were added in Lansweeper 5.2.

Ok after doing some searching I learned that there is no way to stop Lansweeper from adding a particular asset type. I am surprised at this actually...
I found a post where this feature was basically requested, here was my reply...

I am also VERY interested in this feature...
I will go a bit further and ask for the ability to choose not to add certain asset types (not just monitors). I only want to see my workstations and servers. With one IP address, you can have a workstation, printer, monitor, webserver, and you end up with a huge mess of things we don't need or want to see. If I block that IP address, then I lose the workstation from the list as well. Why would anyone want that? I understand a lot of people use this to scan everything under the sun. I would like the option to scan everything, but only ADD the asset types I choose to add.
Thanks... LOVE Lansweeper... this feature would make it absolutely FLAWLESS for us. 🙂
