Hi
On a Dell Latitude D620 running Windows 7 x64 I'm getting Connection to server failed when I'm running LSclient.exe SERVERNAME /showresult
When I'm running Lansweeper connection test from the server to the client I get
Remote WMI test
-----------------------------------------------
Found: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
\root\cimv2 Remote WMI access test OK
Remote Registry test using WMI
-----------------------------------------------
Found: Windows 7 Ultimate
\root\default Remote WMI access test OK
How come I can't trigger the scan from the client running Windows 7 x64?
Thank you

We found the problem.
One of our consultants moved the database from one server to another a week ago and made a typo when setting the password. When we changed the password it started working.
The password was in the file C:\Program Files\lansweeper32\Service\Lansweeperservice.exe.config
I just activated Active scanning and everything works fine.

Seems now that it wasn't just this one client that was affected. It's all our clients.
I ran a portscan on the server running Lansweeper and it said port 9524 was closed.
Is it the Lansweeperservice.exe that opens the port?
The service seems to be running as it should.

Can you telnet from the client to the server to port 9524?

Other clients can connect using LSclient. They are running Windows XP Professional x86.
I have no firewall running on the Windows 7 x64 client.

Are other computers able to connect with lsclient.
If yes then most likely a firewall is blocking outbound traffic from the windows7 computer.
