Is there a way to have the default system identification defined somewhere or to have them changed after the computer scan?
For unknown systems, the default information is:
Name: System Name
Vendor: System Manufacturer
IdentifyingNumber: EVAL
UUID: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000
Version: System Version
Thanks

It will be overwritten in the next scan.
I suggest to use one of the custom fields for this.

And there is no way to amend / correct this info into the database?
Or it will be overwritten at the next computer scan?
Thanks

Wmi gets this information from the computer (which most likely gets it from the bios)

We have systems that are custom built ( "Clones", not brand names) and they are all reported/listed with the info I posted.
I assume that the scan puts same default info, if the machine info is unknown, as the fields are mandatory.
Hardware components are detected properly ( Motherboard, CPU, chipset, etc) but not the General System information (SystemProduct)
The info displayed is:
Last scan at 5/3/2010 12:50:25 PM took 0.00 seconds, waittime is 24 days.
SystemProduct
Name: System Name
Vendor: System Manufacturer
IdentifyingNumber: SYS-1234567890
UUID: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000
Version: System Version
Date: 4/22/2010 11:08:55 AM
I have not seen where these default info fields (i.e. "System Name", "System manufacturer", SYS-1234567890 ...etc) are, in the database or in config files.
