Good morning all,

I didn't have any luck with the search with this issue so hopefully this won't be a duplicate post.

We're still in the testing phase with LANSweeper and have run into a snag. If a user has a CD/DVD in the optical drive it will start scanning the files on that disc which takes considerable time and hangs up the scanning queue (I'm glad it doesn't scan network drive files!). Is there a way to disable scanning of optical drive files?

We have a considerable number of machines on the network with some installed software at remote sites that requires a disc in the optical drive in order to run. Any help would be very appreciated,

Thank you!

The process is not actually scanning the files but it reads the name of the CD if it is inserted.

You could set the waittime for CDROM really high, then this will only happen once on the first scan.
