This product seems great, however we are seeing duplicate computer names within the GUI and web interface.
- I checked reverse DNS lookups and we seem fine there.. ping -a IPAddress resolves correctly.
- Connection tester works fine.

What is causing this?

Thanks for your time in advance.

ok it seems that this issue resolves itself as long as we use the lsclient

That is fine with me. You can close this one.

Well it hasnt happened since we started using LSCLIENT.EXE within our GPO's ...

I saw another person with a similar post.. it looked just like their screenshot.

Can you upload a screenshot of these duplicate names?

It seems that if we do not use LSClient.exe on the workstations we end up with duplicate computer names in the GUI.

why does LSCLIENT fix this issue?... (so far)

Can we eliminate the need for it?

OK I permanently deleted the computer name and then re-ran lsclient and it seemed to resolve that issue.

UPDATE :: Ok that worked (loading lsclient) on one machine but not another... Any ideas?

UPDATE :: Running LSCLIENT on one of the workstations seemed to resolve that issue.

Is there anyway to avoid having to use LSCLIENT?

Can LSClient eventually be removed from our GPO's?
