Hi,

i just wanted to upgrade from Version 3.5.3 to 4.0. During setup i cannot choose the upgrade option. Setup only asks me to drop the existing lansweeperdb ?
What can i do ?

Thanks for your help
Daniel

Worked - it took some time until i figured out that the report builder is included in the lsmanage tool now 🙂

Thanks

Open the report builder and edit the report, most likely it isn't compatible with version 4.0

The error with the computer object disappeared after downloading and installing the latest setup.exe

Hi,

thanks for your fast answer 🙂

I already manually upgraded the database. It took about 3 hours 😞 and ended with a few error messages (upgrade_lansweeper.txt)
Afterwards i installed the Lansweeper 4.0.0.24 and until a few things everything seems to work fine.
One of this things is:
When i click onto a computer object i get following message error message:
error_computer.txt
There is also an error message on the dashboard:
error_conficker.jpg

Thanks for your support
Daniel

You can upgrade the database manually:

Hello,

the Lansweeper 3.5.2 (Service, Database; Web) is installed on old server.
I want to migrate the Version 4 to an new server, so i only moved the existing database to the new server and tried to install the new lansweeper version.
I also want to migrate from SQLExpress2005 to SQLExpress2008.
Migrated database seems to work fine, because i can access it from webconsole without any problems.

Thanks
Daniel

Is lansweeper installed on one server or on different servers?
