On the WebUI, we can search for the extra custom field data, but not the other custom fields:
Bar Code:
Order number:
Location:
Building:
Department:
Branch office:

Is this a bug or is our setup broken?

Running everything up to date.

Thanks,
Bart

The bar code and order number fields are searchable, the other fields mentioned are not. Note that search uses a "begins with" filter, not a "contains" filter.

For the fields that are not searchable, you can run a report instead. Below is an example report for the location field. Replace YourLocation with the location you would like to report on.
Select Top 1000000 Web40OSName.Compimage As icon, tblComputers.Computername, tblComputers.Computer, tblComputers.Domain, Web40OSName.OSname, tblComputers.Lastseen From tblComputers Left Join Web40OSName On Web40OSName.Computername = tblComputers.Computername Inner Join tblCompCustom On tblComputers.Computername = tblCompCustom.Computername Where tblCompCustom.Location = 'YourLocation' Order By tblComputers.ComputerUnique

To use the specified report, do the following:
• Open the Lansweeper configuration console and select Reports & Alerts\Report Builder. Hit the “New” button.
• Copy the SQL code provided and paste it at the bottom of the newly created report, replacing the default SQL code.
• Click somewhere near tblComputers so the new code applies.
• Give the report a “View name” and a “Report name” and hit the “Save” button.
• Double-click on the report in the report list to see its results and export options.
