Ping Assets (left side of a report). Works for network devices. But not for windows PC's.
Can I get some details for the ping command used? Does it use a fqdn when it pings? If so that is my issue. I need to use hostname only, or IP address.

We dont DNS desktops. So I guess this will never work for us. Sucks having that red dot next to every PC asset page.

For Windows computers, the FQDN is used, if available. If not available, the NetBIOS name is used and then the IP address. For non-Windows machines, the IP address is used. There is no way to change this behavior. If FQDN pings are failing, you will need to look for DNS issues.
