Hi,
I've just tried the new 1.5 version with this new IP feature instead of relying on DNS.
That's great for me.
Unfortunately to communicate with the remote computers LS use RPC calls which are forbiden through our firewall.
I've tried to use Microsoft's RPC Tunneling : http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/rpc/rpc/rpc_over_http_deployment_recommendations.asp
which looks fine at first glance but I've not succeed.
LS looks to communicate with the remote computer but is not able to collect informations
Has somebody already tried this ?
Has somebody an other solution to avoid firewall problems with RPC ?
Thanks
Patrick Audin

Thanks for your answer but I'm afraid it won't be possible : far too heavy to put in place ...

I've never tried RPC over HTTP, but maybe you can try a vpn through your firewall. (pptp?)
