System requirements

Hi,

I was wondering what the system requirements for a server running Lansweeper with approximately 5000 clients? I need the disk space required, along with recommended RAM and CPU speed.

After the first connection wmi uses random ports.

Do you know if any other firewall ports need to be opened up?

Scanning is initiated by the server to the client.

First the server connects to port 135 on the client (DCOM) after the initial connection random ports are used by WMI

We also have an internal firewall between the server and the clients, apart from port 9524, are there any other ports which need to be opened?

5000 clients: for the database about 2-5 GB should be enough

Scanning service: most important is multiple processors/cores to improve speed, Ram is not important.
Database server: multiple processors/cores + 2-4 GB Ram.

You can always tweak the amount of simultaneous scans.
This way your hardware can follow but the scanning will take longer to process all computers.
