I've had that happen with Symantec a few times. It comes after you install on top of itself - either manual install to update or a push from SCCM or PDQ. For some reason the registry still sees the old version "reporting" even though it may not show up in the Add/Remove programs or Installed Software listing in LS.
Clean uninstalling and a clean re-install usually fixes that.
