Currently, the only way to edit/update fields for more than one asset at a time is from the asset view.
Unfortunately this is very difficult and time consuming if there is specific criteria for mass update.

I would like to see the “Edit Fields” & “Mass Edit Mode” listed under Asset Actions to be added to the Report Actions, therefore allowing mass edit based upon a report.

Any updates to this request? Mass edit from a report view? This would be a huge improvement!

It’s not in the short-term roadmap yet, there are a lot of other areas that take priority for improvement.

Happy New Year 2025,

Any news?

I need to mass edit 20 hosts.

I can query for the needed hostnames for a report, but I cannot massedit or easyedit them.

And I can not query for multiple hostnames in the searchfield to massedit them, like
like "hostname1 hostname2 hostname3 ..." or "hostname1|hostname2|hostname3|...".

so what is the solution for me? build an update query and run it inside a transaction? (no easier way?)

best regards,
daniel.

Certainly an interesting take. Using reports might be the easiest way to have a robust method of selecting specific asserts and criteria.

I’d think this is food for thought for @Laura.Victori and take a look where this fits in the future of the platform.

It’s a very good idea! I need such feature too!
