Greetings!
I have an problem with 2 of my ESX-Server.
When Lansweeper scans them without any credentials it creates an assets but its saying that the credentials are missing.
But if i add credentials, both assets are disappearing in my Lansweeper and i cant find them anymore. Even the Logfiles dont mention anything.
Does anyone has an idea what i can do about this issue?

Dear,
If the assets "disappear" after scanning them with credentials, they will merge with another asset.
With the credentials, more details will be scanned, and there will be a similar asset holding the same MAC and/or serial.
Merging of assets will also be visible in errorlog.txt on your scanning server.
Below you can find the KB article on how Lansweeper identifies devices uniquely. If any doubts you can also contact the Lansweeper Support team.
How Lansweeper uniquely identifies assets - Lansweeper

Hm as far as i understand the logfile it gets deleted:
2025-01-07 07:54:26,683 [SCAN_10.1.4.41] INFO [MERGE] Duplicate Non-Windows check: deleting asset with AssetID 25950 and AssetUnique 10.1.4.41\1
2025-01-07 07:54:27,074 [SCAN_10.1.4.41] INFO
[MERGE] Asset being scanned:
AssetUnique: unique_mac:90
IPAddress:10.1.4.41
MAC:mac:90
Serial:serialnumber
[MERGE] Asset In DB:
AssetId:25950
AssetUnique:10.1.4.41\1
IPAddress:10.1.4.41
MAC:
Serial:
[MERGE] Shared MAC address(es):
This might be an reason:
[MERGE] Merged duplicate asset with IP address 10.1.4.41 into this asset. Merge reason: shared MAC address(es) and unknown serial number for asset 1 and known serial number SERIALNUMBER for asset 2.
So ... "everthing" from our ESX-Server get merged to the ILO-Interface of the server which has an different MAC-address and IP-address.
Any idea how i can prevent this?
