Engaged Sweeper
Here is what we want to do, and I wondered how others were handling it:
We have several dozen employees who have company owned machines that they use remotely to access our VDI solution. Those machines don't have office or any email client installed, but we would like to be able to get a snapshot of inventory on them.

Has anyone setup a way to use either lsclient or lspush externally that works well to get the info into lansweeper one time?

Would love to hear some ideas.

LsClient is not a true scanning agent and cannot be used to scan machines locally. LsClient just sends a scan request to your Lansweeper server. To scan a machine locally, you need to use LsPush.

Note that you don't need an email client to run LsPush. If you perform a basic LsPush scan by copying the LsPush executable to a client machine and double-clicking on it, the scan results will be attached to email if possible BUT will also be copied to your temporary folder. Scan results must be placed in Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Service\import on your Lansweeper server.

For examples of other ways to run LsPush (e.g. using a script), refer to page 73 and beyond of our online documentation: http://www.lansweeper.com/documentation.pdf
Note that we use the page numbers listed at the bottom of each page.

Well, you would have to GET the file somehow.
You can start by making a simple self installer that runs lspush.exe and saves the file. maybe emails it for you.
if they access your network then they can access the IP one would hope.
