Lansweeper supports the scanning of Windows 2000 or any more recent Windows operating systems, which includes Windows XP. We recommend using this article on RPC Errors and this article on WMI access denied as a troubleshooting aid. As a general aid, this article on Windows Domain Scanning Requirements or this article on Windows Workgroup Scanning Requirements could be of use to you.

Alternatively you could scan these computers using the LsPush scanning agent, LsPush is immune to most scanning errors. For more information on the LsPush scanning agent you can check this article. You can find the LsPush executable in the Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Client folder on your Lansweeper server. LsPush can easily be deployed in domain environments with a logon script or group policy. A sample VBS script that runs LsPush can be seen below. You will need to replace what we've highlighted with the folder hosting the LsPush executable and the name of your own Lansweeper server.

Set WshShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
WshShell.run "%logonserver%\netlogon\lspush.exe lansweeperservername",0

If the issue persists and LsPush is not an option for you, please contact us directly via mail at support@lansweeper.com for more advanced troubleshooting. Please provide us with Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Service\errorlog.txt and screenshots of the asset page of the Windows computer (Summary/Errors/Scan Time). Also briefly mention this forum post to provide context.
