In our Lansweeper installation we have configured the preferred domain controller. This configuration works well for scanning users but does not work for scanning computers, the scanning service insists on using inaccessible domain controllers.

Ours is even worse - it's not adhering to -any- preferred servers, neither for users nor computers. In addition, it's trying DCs that aren't even in the defined domain, belonging to test domains with completely different names and segments. It's seemingly ignoring all setups, with constant failures as a result. Something is definitely not working right.

Hello,
Next to the preferred domain controller, Lansweeper should also contact the other DC's if they are available and your scanning credentials have the necessary access.
If this would keep failing please send an mail to support@lansweeper.com and send them your errorlog.txt that you can find in C:\Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Service on your Lansweeper Server.
