Is there a way to setup a scan in Lansweeper for a Specific File on the dekstop (an LNK file)?
We have a particular Java based software does not show up in the "Add/remove programs" list so Lansweeper does not show it as "installed". It installs itself to a temporary Java directory.
We need to know how many/Which computers have this software installed.
On top of that, we need to know what specific "Asset Group" these machines belong to. Right now, all of the lansweeper reports only list machines with have a particular software installed. I also need to see which asset group a particular machine belongs to without having to drill down to the IP address and then trying to match that to an Asset GRoup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thx
Dave

General instructions for setting up a file scan can be found here: http://www.lansweeper.com/kb/19/report-based-on-file-information.html
To list your machines' asset groups in the sample report, add the tblAssetGroups and tblAssetGroupLink tables and tick the AssetGroup field in tblAssetGroups.
