Hello Lansweeper Community!

We’re excited to announce that we’re working on the second version of our integration with Atlassian Jira Service Management. To make this new version as effective and user-friendly as possible, we need your help!

If you’re currently using the Jira Service Management Asset integration with Lansweeper, we would love to hear from you. Your insights and experiences are invaluable to us as we strive to enhance this integration.

To show our appreciation, we’re offering a $100 Amazon voucher to customers who are willing to talk to us about their experiences with the integration!

I will be sharing more details during our next Office Hour, happening Thursday 29th at 9:00 AM CST/4PM CET - but if you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to reach out right away. Your feedback will directly influence the improvements we make in this next version.

Thank you for your continued support and for being an essential part of the Lansweeper community!

Best,
The Lansweeper Team

has anyone got this working yet?

Hey @diehardlansweep we currently have about 700 customers using our JSM integrations. Whats not working for you?

I see so much potential with the integration.  I've had some issues getting the imports to work in the beginning, but I have a consistent import running now.  Most of the issues I have now are related to feature requests and duplication of objects after an import.  The duplication is my biggest issue. Although an asset is listed once in my inventory, the import treats it as a new asset and I will get a duplication every day.  My guess is the Asset_Key from Cloud changes daily, so Assets treats it as a new object.  I also have this issue with other asset types.  To prevent duplication, I have set the attribute for the asset name to be unique.  If the import attempts to add an object, but the object name already exists, it will write an error to the import log and continue with the rest of the import.  I've also seen the setting for unique get reset to disabled and allows duplication.  In the import mapping, the asset_key is set as the identifier.  Could I also set name as an identifier?

I think it would be great if we had a user group dedicated to new JSM users for Q&A, Feature Requests, and how other customers are using the integration.  If anyone else is trying to create a CMDB with the integration, let me know. I'd like to share ideas.

Hey @swright

First, love the idea of the user group, I need to speak to our community manager about this 🙂

Second, can I ask you to raise a support ticket at support@lansweeper.com or thru the community site. It seems strange to me that you are getting duplicates as the asset IS is unique to LS ... but I am far from a technical expert here, and creating a ticket will be the best way for us to dig deeper.

Thanks

Cass
