We'd like to use lansweeper to keep information on our ShoreTel phones if possible.

Unfortunately scanning the range only returns pingable IP Addresses. Has anyone had any joy returning data from IP115s and IP230s? Even if I can get MAC address of the phones I can then link this back to shoretel director. The phones use DHCP so IP Address could be different if phone was to reboot.

I know SNMP is not an option with these phones, just need to know if there is another way or time to give up.

Device data in general can only be retrieved if the device has one or more of the following protocols enabled: FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, JetDirect, MOB (Managed Object Browser), SIP, SMTP, SNMP (SNMPv1, SNMPv2 or SNMPv3), SSH, Telnet, WMI. More detailed network device scanning requirements can be found in this knowledge base article.

The MAC address specifically can only be retrieved if the device has SNMP or (in the case of Linux and Mac) SSH enabled, or if the Lansweeper server is in the same subnet as the device. If enabling SNMP on the phones is not possible, you would have to add your Lansweeper server to the phones' subnet or add an additional scanning server in order to detect the MAC addresses. (You appear to own a Lansweeper Premium license, which only allows for one scanning server.) If you already have a list of your phones and their MACs somewhere, you could import it into your installation by following these instructions.

Lansweeper will scan port 5060 for SIP but you can give in a custom port for the scanning target if that is not the port that your devices use. You can view the different ports that Lansweeper scans in this knowledge base article. If the 480g phones have this protocol then Lansweeper should be able to scan them and create an asset for it but with limited information.

We are in the same boat with our 480g phones. I would love it if they would even show up with limited information. I have it scanning the IP range using SIP port 5060. Does anyone know if this is the correct port for this? I have yet to run the devicetester.exe but I will soon and will post results if it provides anything useful. Anyone with any success on this?
