We have a number of switches that are being scanned by Lansweeper but when you look at the switch within Lansweeper very few ports are mapping to the actual asset maybe 1 or 2 devices on a 4 switch stack of 48 ports. The rest just show MAC addresses.
To add to this if we have a port that only shows the MAC address of the device connected we can then search for that using the MAC address list report and when we find the asset it belongs to the asset page then has the switch port it is connected to.
Even more peculiar is that the asset search at the top of the page will only find results for assets it has created the association with on the switch port, not ones that it hasn't despite being available in the MAC address report.
Could someone please help with this.
