Engaged Sweeper

Hello,

My Lansweeper server was initially configured with a static IP address, and the Lsagent was pushed to all our devices with the command

LsAgent-windows.exe --server [IP Address] --port 9524 --mode unattended

I want to switch the computer hosting the Lansweeper server to a DHCP connection. What do I need to do in order to ensure that this change does not interfere with how my server functions?

Hi jfraunhofer

hyvokar has a good option. Also, Name and IP address of  the scanning server are stored in the xml, we should collect the new address and update the configuration. Another option is to enable the LsAgent relay, this will provide you with a fallback.

More information can be found in the below KB article:

Create a dhcp reservation for the lansweeper server for the same address that it is using now, and you should be good.
