Thinking of using Lansweeper cloud

I am thinking about switching from the lansweeper local web UI to the lansweeper cloud, but I am just curious about how the lansweeper cloud connects to a server to sync all of the data. I don't have to create a DMZ or punch a hole through our firewall to allow the lansweeper cloud to communicate with our server, do I? Just looking for more insight into how this works for our security team

Lansweeper sets up a Sync Functionality on one of your Scan Servers and runs through some pre-requisite checks before the link is set up.
