Windows rename detection is deleting rather than merging old devices

Windows Rename Detection is not working properly in my environment. It seems to be detecting the presence of a rename computer, but instead of merging the entries and leaving a comment about the rename, it deletes the old asset and all of its history. 

I've searched through the options and I'm not aware of what could be causing this. The last record I have of Rename Detection working properly is from 1/4, and we updated our LS installation from 10.4 to 11.1 on 1/8, but I'm not sure if that is related. Any assistance or insight would be much appreciated!

Don't use Rename Detection!
Clean assets manually or find reason of duplicates.

Up until last month Rename Detection has worked without issue for years in our environment. We want to continue using it but cannot figure out why it is no longer working
