Add Fields to Software Inventory Items

Need ability to add custom fields or needed fields to software inventory items. Many Compliance Frameworks like CISv8 requires software inventory items to contain more information then authorized or not.
Fields are needed like Approved, Supported, Business Reason, Deployment Types, Software URL, Owner, Exception (note if supported but still needed and compensating controls) etc.

At the moment, custom fields are indeed only on the asset level. Do you mind contacting Support for this?
They will add your account to the existing feature request we already have in place for this.
