In my case we have individual barcodes assigned for computers and monitors which makes it interesting. I know that for computers there is a field called barcode where I can store that information in custom fields. I would like to know how do I give each monitor a barcode in the database. I can see that in reports there is a monitor information report that collects all monitor infomation attached to the computers.
All I want to do is lets say I have computer Named "Computer A" which has a barcode "BARCODE1A" and monitor attached to it and has a barcode "BARCODE1B". I would like to be able to search for BARCODE1A and BARCODE1B individually. As cases might be there that the monitor might be exchanged or shifted to another building. I don't want to tie down Monitor with a computer.
Please advice?
