Often times I will see an asset show as green as if it is currently on the network, my DNS and DHCP configuratiosn for our domain are setup per best practices/optimum resolution and performance, yet lansweeper seems to hold onto stale resolutions way longer. I have 6 DC(s) for 4 offices and 1 data center Under scanning targets, "scan now" -ip ranges it would be nice if the lansweeper server would flush its DNS before performing a scan. I've built custom actions that will flush my workstation's DNS and another action that will flush the dns on the lansweeper server. My only point is that is would be nice if this pre scan behavior was automatic upon individual/on-demand scans as well as scheduled scans. Food for thought perhaps in your upcoming releases.
