Is there any plans to bring Helpdesk to Lansweeper Sites?

Hi @znabi,

We have no plans at present to bring Helpdesk into Lansweeper Sites.

Ultimately, through customer feedback, it was decided that the best approach in Lansweeper Sites was to integrate with other solutions available in the market. You can find those integrations here: https://www.lansweeper.com/product/integrations/.

As a side note, we have committed to continuing the maintenance of Helpdesk, alongside the On-premise product, so you can continue to utilise this if you wish.

Thanks,
Thomas

You are really not going to let this cloud version go are you. We have on prem and don't plan to ever move over. We tried and do not like it. You all said you would never mess with on prem and it will always be here. Yet in this webinar it was all about. "We understand most of you don't want to do move over, BUT. you will have to learn" great. Not cool man.

Hi @arcofventura,

We have no plans to discontinue Lansweeper On-premise. We understand from a number of customers that this is an important stance to take if we are to continue working together, and that is fine. If the value you require is serviced with Lansweeper On-premises, then please continue to use it without any concerns that we are about to "turn it off".

Having said this, we have a growing number of requests and desires from customers that can only be serviced from within Lansweeper Sites. The adoption is growing and we plan to extend the value provided in order to meet the demands that our customers ask from us.

We currently have several types of customer, a non-exhaustive list would be:

  1. Customers in the Lansweeper Sites who are happy with value they receive,
  2. Customers in Lansweeper On-premises that are willing to move to Lansweeper Sites, but require additional value parity before taking the plunge (they may already be synced with Lansweeper Sites, managing their inventory there, and using both in parallel until the value parity gaps are addressed),
  3. Customers who use Lansweeper On-premise as their main driver and sync to Lansweeper Sites to get the benefits of the additional insights, and
  4. Customers who have expressed a desire to remain on Lansweeper On-premise

We have been, and will continue to be, committed to service everybody.

Thanks,
Thomas

I'm wondering, is the goal of Hivemind also to collectively benefits from Products Improvements requests from various customers to see if those challenges are also shared amongts the community.  Andalso the possiblity to have have a Customer Wishlist page where we can see those that are going to make it through and those that are still pending review?

Thank you

Hi @Lekius ,

While one of our prioritization methods for product improvements is indeed to consider the benefit it would provide to our broader customer base, this is not part of Hivemind. Hivemind is designed to help organizations identify what others are doing in their IT environment and what they might be missing, ultimately deriving insights from the experiences of our thousands of customers.

Regarding a wishlist page, I recommend reaching out to your Lansweeper account manager to arrange a conversation. We’re always eager to discuss upcoming features, our current priorities, and gather your valuable input. These discussions play a crucial role in shaping our roadmap.

Thanks,
Thomas

How and when can I start using these new features with our on-premises install of LS?

While the capabilities we reviewed in the event are focused on Lansweeper Sites, you can leverage them with your on-premises installation by linking it with Lansweeper Sites.  Doing so allows you to gain additional insights from your Lansweeper environment, such as Risk Insights, diagramming and software normalization and categorization, without requiring you to change your day-to-day activities in the on-premises interface.
